We need great items! We need you!

A silent and live auction will be rather quiet and boring without great items.

So, we need the help of EVERY FAMILY to donate an item to the auction so that we can all find interesting things to bid on.

To make it easy, we have created this great “ask” letter that you can share with businesses who you are asking for donations.  Customize it with your name and contact information, or just leave Kristen Hayner, the event chair’s, info on there.

A letter will come home this week asking this same important question: will you help us make this event a really great night that raises a bunch for CFMC?  The letter also includes a tear-off portion to tell us what you plan on contributing.

Tell me about those tickets…

We have space for 110 people at Bound’ry.  Of course, we want to give parents preference to come, but we also know of community members who want to attend to support our school.

We are asking all of our parents to please register by October 15.  At that time, we will open up the tickets to those outside our immediate parents.  We will update this site when we know how many tickets are left.

Why are we raising money?

1. We love our kids.

2. CFMC needs shelving in many of the classrooms.  Its key to the Montessori method, and will help keep the classes tidy.

3. CFMC wants a few new things: maps, signage and other things as they come up.

The more we raise, the more we can fund in the wants category!

How the Online Auction Works

We plan to start auctioning items on the site about a month prior to the event, so check back often for new items as they are posted. This will allow parents who plan to attend the chance to preview items, as well as those who cannot make the event – whether parents, granparents, aunts and uncles, etc. – to bid.

Here’s how it will work!

FIRST: Leave a comment with:

  • your name,
  • email address or phone number (if you are not in the CFMC directory)
  • your bid amount in USD

SECOND: Check back often to make sure you stay on top of bidding!

THIRD: We will print out the bids on Friday, November 2 at midnight, and use those bids as the opening bids for the item on the night of the auction. If you want to keep bidding, but can’t attend, assign a proxy for you who is attending. Otherwise, risk the chance of losing the item to the next bidder!

FOURTH: We will notify winners at the event.
